FORKS TWP., Pa. -

A man was arrested after holding two fingers to his wife's neck and threatening to kill her, officials said.

Charles L. Brinker admitted he broke into the locked bathroom where his wife Diane was hiding after an argument in their home at 1005 Frost Hollow Road, Forks Twp., Northampton Co., at about 10:20 p.m. Friday and saying, "I am going to ... kill you," with his fingers on her neck, officials said.

Brinker, 53, was arraigned on making terroristic threats and other charges early Saturday morning and committed to Northampton County Prison on $20,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 24.
