Jennifer Joas joined the 69 News Team in July 2013 as a general assignment reporter for the Berks Edition.

Jennifer comes to WFMZ-TV from North Dakota, where she spent three years working as an anchor and reporter for KFYR-TV & KUMV-TV. During that time, Jennifer learned the ins and outs of the Bakken oil boom, including the practices of hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling. She reported extensively on the challenges the communities faced due to the rapid growth.

During her time in North Dakota, Jennifer produced and anchored a one-hour special that won her two Eric Sevareid Awards through the Northwest Broadcast News Association.

Prior to working in North Dakota, she interned at KYW-TV in Philadelphia, WMGM-TV in Atlantic City and WNYE-TV in Brooklyn.

Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. She grew up in southern New Jersey and is happy to return to the tri-state area. In her spare time, she likes to travel and explore the great outdoors.
