Jamie joined the 69 News team in June of 2008 as a producer in the Berks office. In May 2010 she moved into her current position as an assignment editor and web producer in the Lehigh Valley office.
Jamie got her start in television as a producer with KOLN/KGIN 10/11 News in Lincoln, Nebraska. The station covered 3/4 of the state of the Nebraska, focusing on the cities of Lincoln and Grand Island. Her favorite memories at 10/11 include Husker game days, a major shake-up in the University of Nebraska's athletic department, and Nebraska's first astronaut, Clay Anderson's trip to the International Space Station.
She studied broadcast journalism and history at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Jamie has always been interested in the news and began learning more about broadcasting at Parkland High School's television station. She jumped at the chance to get involved with Shippensburg's TV station, SUTV, attending her first SUTV meeting the night before she began classes as a freshman. While at Shippensburg, she was member of the National Broadcasters Association and a member of its honor fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Rho.
Jamie loves to spend her summer weekends at the shore and her winter weekends on the slopes. She enjoys running, SCUBA diving, traveling and cheering for the Phillies and the Flyers. She also volunteers at Asbury Church where she leads a young adult Bible study and serves as the Chair of the Church Council.
Jamie, her husband, Steve, and their cat, Maebs, live in South Whitehall.
She's always looking for stories that matter to viewers, so if you have a story idea, please email her at Jamie.Snyder@wfmz.com.
