Six local businesses are bringing home the hardware after it was announced they're award recipients from the Easton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Career Institute of Technology (CIT), Easton Coach Company, Easton Farmers’ Market, Kressler, Wolff & Miller, Martin Guitar Co., and Posey Peddler Floral will be among the businesses honored by the Chamber- part of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Easton Coach Company is being recognizes as the recipient for the Chairman’s Award. The award is meant to honor individual leadership in the community and investment in Easton and surrounding areas. Easton Coach is listed as the 6th largest private transportation companies in the US and operates 10 facilities with nearly 650 employees.
Kressler, Wolff & Miller is the recipient for the Community Partner Award. The award honors Easton area businesses that demonstrates committement to the Easton area through generosity and kindness. Kressler, Wolff & Miller is an Easton based insurance business that has a strong history of supporting civic organizations and regional development projects.
The Career Institute of Technology is the recipient for the Pride of Forks Award. The award is presented to a Forks Township Business that demonstrates passion, commitment, and dedication to the Forks community. CIT is a regional career and technical high school serving the Easton, Wilson, Nazareth, Bangor, and Pen Argyl Area School Districts organized in 1965.
Easton Farmers’ Market is the recipient for the Milestone Award, which award honors leadership in the community and their investment in Easton. The market was originally opened in 1752 and is recognized by the National Farmers Market Coalition. The current vendor count is nearly 45 every week.
Martin Guitar Co. is the recipient for the Outstanding Large Business Award. Martin is honored with the award that is presented to a business that demonstrates excellence, creativity, and initiative in business, while continuing to grow and take risks with determination and drive. Martin Guitar is one of the biggest names in guitar making. The Nazareth-based company recently surpassed the $100 million threshold in sales.
And Posey Peddler Floral is the recipient for the Outstanding Small Business Award. The award honors a business that continuously strives to excel and prosper in business, while remaining dedicated to customers and the Easton area community. Posey Peddler Floral has been located on College Hill in Easton since 1972 and is well known for their Project Posey and "Fun with Flowers" programs.
The businesses will honor the outstanding organizations are part of the Chamber's annual award ceremony Thursday evening.
