Seventy new jobs are expected to be coming to the region after the official ribbon cutting Thursday at Central Admixture Pharmacy Services' (CAPS) new location in Allentown. CAPS is part of the B. Braun group of companies.
“Although its global headquarters is in Germany, B. Braun continues to grow and create jobs in Pennsylvania,” said Walker. “CAPS will be adding over 70 new jobs to the more than 2,000 employees it currently has in the Lehigh Valley.”
CAPS already has three facilities in Pennsylvania.
The new 32,000-square-foot sterile compounding pharmacy will bring the latest in engineering and technology to support the reduction of medication errors that affect healthcare.
“B. Braun’s decision to expand is a testament to the positive business climate Governor Corbett is creating in Pennsylvania and the talented workforce that is located right here in the Lehigh Valley,” Walker said.
Headquartered in Melsungen, Germany, B. Braun has more than 28,000 employees worldwide including more than 2,000 in the Lehigh Valley. CAPS, a subsidiary of B. Braun, is a network of state-licensed, FDA-registered pharmacies providing service to over 500 hospitals and home care customers.
