Boscov's opens 40th store

Staffing returns to pre-bankruptcy filing level

Boscov's opens 40th store

EXETER TWP., Pa. - Exeter Township-based Boscov's celebrated the opening of its 40th store this past weekend.

The new store is in Monmouth, New Jersey.

The store was one of ten Boscov's that closed when the chain filed for bankruptcy in 2008.

Boscov's says the new store -- plus hiring at other stores -- puts the company's staffing level at around 7,500 employees, that's about how many people Boscov's employed before filing for bankruptcy.
