Pennsylvania has released its unemployment rate for January, and it's good news.
The state's Department of Labor & Industry Friday released the seasonally adjusted rate of 6.4 percent, down by four-tenths of a percentage point from December.
The 6.4 percent is actually two-tenths of a percentage point less than the national unemployment rate of 6.6 percent.
January's rate was the lowest for commonwealth since November 2008. when it was 6.2 percent.
The state rate was also down 1.4 percentages points from January 2013.
