The latest 'Best Places to Work' list is out, and Wegmans has made the list at #12.

The Rochester, New York-based grocer is one of only 13 companies that have been on the top 100 list since it began in 1998, making it to the Best Companies All Stars list.

Otheres on that list include Whole Foods (44), Cisco (55) and Marriott (57).

"Our employees make Wegmans a place where customers feel happy and cared about, and my job is to make sure our employees feel that way, too," said CEO Danny Wegman. "What’s most important to us is that our employees feel that Wegmans is a great place to work."

What does Fortune say about Wegman's?

"College students, take note: Almost half of employees are 25 or younger at this family-owned grocery retailer on the East Coast. Flexible scheduling, an employee scholarship program, and stretch assignments help young employees grow within the company, and 66% of jobs are filled through internal promotions."

Fortune magazine's 2014 list of top 100 Best Places to Work list is compiled by surveying thousands of employees from hundreds of businesses.

Any company that is at least five years old and has more than 1,000 U.S. employees is eligible.

Google tops the list this year, followed by SAS, The Boston Consulting Group, Edward Jones and Quicken Loans rounding out the top 5.

The only Pennsylvania-based company in the top 100 was Sheetz convenience stores, which came in at #87. The Sheetz headquarters is in Altoona, Blair County.
