Cold weather is on the way. And,
the tough economy will put even more people in need this fall and winter.
The Salvation Army of Reading will be holding their annual Coats for Kids
Campaign beginning October 1 and running until November 15. 69 News Berks
Edition is proud to support this event again in 2008! We simply ask that if
you can help, to make a donation to help those in need here in Berks County.
Children and adult
coats are needed. Plus, hats and gloves. You can drop them of at all
National, Yorgey's, Hollywood and Wash Day Laundry Dry Cleaners locations in
Berks County. Your donations will be cleaned and delivered to the Salvation
Army Christmas Site at 6th and Spring Street. in Reading.
Distribution will be
held on the following dates at the 6th and Spring location:
| November 18 and 19 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. |
| December 2, 3, 5 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. |
| December 8 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. |

Coats will be cleaned by these merchants and then distributed to needy children by the Salvation Army. |
