BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Two graduating seniors in Bethlehem Area School District will receive full-tuition, four-year scholarships to Moravian College in Bethlehem.
Each year the college will offer one scholarship to a Liberty High School graduating senior and another to a Freedom High graduating senior.
The deadline to apply for the scholarships is Feb. 1. The scholarship recipients will be announced by April.
The two selected will be admitted to Moravian College as undergraduate day students for the fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
One requirement is attendance at Liberty or Freedom for at least their junior and senior years.
Applicants also must provide evidence "of meaningful service to the larger community."
Completed scholarship applications will be reviewed by a guidance/administrative team at each high school, with recommendations for finalist candidates made to the district's superintendent.
The superintendent, in consultation with representatives from Moravian College, will select scholarship recipients.
