Source says busy schedules played role in breakup

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly split.

According to E! Online and People, Bieber and Gomez broke up more than a week ago.

A source told People that their busy schedules played a role in the split. "With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It's not easy, but the relationship needed to end," the source said.

Bieber and Gomez went public with their relationship in February 2011.
