While Selena Gomez's "crazy schedule" is thought to be a reason for her supposed breakup with Justin Bieber, the former Disney star doesn't seem to have regrets.

The 20-year-old actress was in New York City Monday night as one of the honorees at Glamour magazine's Women of the Year event, and she told CNN that she's taking the recent onslaught of media scrutiny in stride.

"I don't know, you know," Gomez said of how she's dealing with the attention. "I'm just taking it day by day. I'm very lucky to do what I do, and I'm glad I can do it."

Gomez is said to be the one who called off her relationship with the 18-year-old pop star, with anonymous sources telling everyone from People magazine to Us Weekly to E! News that their busy work lives got in the way of their teen romance. (These sources also added in a tidbit about Gomez having "trust issues" with Bieber, whatever that may mean.)

Bieber, meanwhile, has given similarly vague responses to the speculation about his love life. On Saturday, he told the Open House Party radio show that he doesn't know "what's going on with my life," so "to even assess that it doesn't make sense 'cause I have not made any comment."

He then took the stage in Boston Saturday night to sing a cover of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me A River," which, be it a nod to the gossip or not, is definitely being seen as such given the timing.

While Gomez tweeted that she was left "speechless" at Glamour's event on Monday, having been inspired by the "powerful women" who were also in attendance, Bieber's sharing the uplifting advice he's receiving.

"'Life is short. It's gonna be what it's gonna be. As long as u put your best foot forward,'" he posted Monday night. "Glenn... words from a stranger I just met."
