While Maria Sharapova may still face corporate fallout from her two-year suspension, Nike is at least standing by her, saying it will continue to partner with the five-time grand slam champion.

While Maria Sharapova may still face corporate fallout from her two-year suspension, Nike is at least standing by her, saying it will continue to partner with the five-time grand slam champion. The company had previously suspended its marketing deal with her in March after she admitted to testing positive for the banned drug meldonium at the 2016 Australian Open. But in a statement issued Wednesday, the same day her suspension was announced, Nike pointed out that the investigation by the International Tennis Federation found that she "did not intentionally break its rules." Porsche, which also suspended its marketing deal with Sharapova in March, said in a statement that it will keep the deal on hold. Swiss watch brand Tag Heuer decided not to renew her contract this spring, while racket manufacturer Head extended Sharapova's contract in the wake of her admission, saying she'd made an "honest mistake."
