Susan Kalan is a local arts advocate and arts writer. A native of Paterson, N.J., she received a BA degree in Speech Communications from William Paterson College, Wayne, N.J., in 1974, with a New Jersey teaching certificate in Secondary Education-Speech Arts/Dramatics.
