SATORI, a professional chamber music ensemble in the Lehigh Valley, will inaugurate its new artists-in-residence program with a fall semester-long project at Bethlehem's Nitschmann Middle School. The program, developed in conjunction with school music educators and administration, will offer music students unique performance and instruction opportunities with SATORI musicians. The program also will provide enrichment through musical performances in many academic classrooms. According to SATORI Artistic Director Nora Suggs, more than 200 students participate directly in the instrumental music programs at Nitschmann, and the entire student population will be reached through the in-school performances by SATORI and by the student ensembles.
