Life Lessons: Wear the Wonder

VIDEO Life Lessons: Wear the Wonder

You've heard the saying that if you love what you do it never feels like work. That's true for one Zionsville woman who has turned her love for the still image into more than one successful business venture.

Photographer Terree Yeagle, of The Moment Photography in Zionsville, says she sees beauty everywhere she looks and so she documents it hoping it will bring joy and happiness to someone else.

"I want people to feel what I feel when I look at a sunset, when I look at the sky, when I look at the ocean and my breath is taken away and I'm settled and I feel calm and happy and joyful," she said.

Yeagle has spent the better of 25 years behind a camera collecting thousands of images, and one day she realized something.

"I have over the years just amassed a great library of nature photography and I wanted to bring it to life," she said.

So she started to pull out these stunning images trying to figure out what she could do with them. She created Wear the Wonder along with business partner Sandy Kahn.

Wear the Wonder is a collection of items including unique metal bracelets called WonderCuffs that feature Yeagle's nature images on the outside paired with inspirational messages on the inside. They also carry leggings, pillows and other home adornments.

"It's kind of blossomed beyond nature, now it's the wonder of life because we're doing some different subject matter, architecture, graffiti, animals and we're also doing custom," she explained.

And right now it's Yeagle and Kahn creating the items, but while they're hoping to inspire others, they've already inspired themselves and their vision for the future.

"Hopefully one day we have our own store filled with items that begin with a photographic image and a set of words that come together to inspire people," she said.
