Delectable dishes tempt taste buds at Exton's The Riverstone Cafe.  Dave Wassel, the brains behind the restaurant's menu, joined 69 News at Sunrise on Friday.

Braised Beef Short Ribs with mashed potatoes, bacon & horseradish cream, and crispy onions

*for the short ribs*
-2# beef short rib meat
-3 cups red wine
-2 carrots
-1/2 rib of celery
- 2 spanish onions
-2 qt. beef stock
-1/2 bu. Thyme
-1/2 bu curly parsley

*for the mashed potatoes
-5 ea. Youkon gold potatoes
-1/4 lb butter
-3 c. heavy cream
-salt and pepper to taste

*for the horseradish-bacon cream*
-1 lb. Applewood smoked bacon
-1 ½ qt. heavy cream
-1/4 cup. Chopped garlic
-2 ½ cup horseradish
-6 peeled shallots
-1 cup white wine


Katafi Shrimp with Mango & Kiwi Salsa

-2 ea mangos (firm)
-4 ea. Kiwi
-1 red onion
-1 bunch cilantro
-1 ½ cup dejion mustard
-1/2 lb. shredded phyllo dough
-1/2 c. "Gaetano sauce" (our secret recipe, can't provide you with that)


Chipotle Pork Tacos with Pepper Salsa

*for the taco meat*
-2 lb. pork butt
-2 qt. chicken stock
-1 bu cilantro
-1/2 can chipotle peppers
-6 peeled garlic cloves
-1/2 c. brown sugar

*for the salsa*
-1 green pepper
-1 red onion
-4 kumato tomatoes
-1/2 bu. Cilantro
-1/4 c. lime juice
-salt and pepper to taste
