With that said, the last two weeks have been a little
frustrating! Even though I feel so much thinner the
scale hasn't moved much. I had always heard plateaus
were inevitable, but according to Mike, I can bust
through this. And, to add to the urgency, one of us will
be eliminated this coming week! I really don't want to
be the next one to go! Such pressure, my strategy for
this week: no guilt-free meals and intensify my weight
training, which is not my favorite part. (I like running
a lot better) But I have to trust Mike's advice.
The hardest part away from the gym is going out to eat
which I avoid right now as much as possible, but we are
going out Saturday night with friends. Remember Mike's
talk about planning ahead, I will pick the restaurant
and I will have seltzer with line, fish, and salad. If
everyone gets an appetizer I will get a shrimp cocktail
and eat three shrimp. While they have dessert, I will
have a cup of tea. And I will have a good time, knowing
I have stuck to my plan!
The biggest thing I have learned so far in this
challenge: if you get your mind in the right place, your
body will follow along. I am looking forward to
finishing the next six weeks.
