Staying
Fit While Traveling:
1. Phone ahead to find out if there is a Fitness Center
near or in your hotel or place of stay. Most offer daily
rates.

2. Pack plenty of protein bars and shakes in case you
can't get a healthy snack.

3. Pack a bag with workout essentials you can use in
your room- workout clothes, gym shoes, water bottle,
heart rate monitor, walkman or iPod, resistance bands,
jump rope, resist-a-ball (you can deflate for easy
travel and take a pump).

4. Plan your workouts so that you get your weight
training in before you leave... you can do cardio
anywhere, even up and down hotel stairs.
This workout can be done anywhere. Do it in a circuit or
do 2-3 sets of 12-15 and then move to the next exercise.
Legs: Wall ball squats, lunges, stretch band
squats, stretch band side leg raises and rear leg
kickbacks

Back: double arm stretch band rows, single arm
stretch band rows (wrap band around a doorknob)

Chest: pushups, stretch band chest presses,
stretch band chest flys

Shoulders: stretch band shoulder press, stretch
band shoulder side laterals with upright row

Triceps: triceps Dips (edge of chair), stretch
band overhead extensions

Biceps: stretch band double arm curls , stretch
band straight arm double curls

Abdominal: bicycle crunches, dead man crunches
