40 Days of Life protest begins outside local clinics

Protestors gathered outside of abortion clinics for the start of a forty-day, nation-wide protest Wednesday.

They call themselves "Forty Days of Life."

In our region protestors gathered outside of abortion clinics in Allentown, Reading and Collegeville.

The protestors say they'll use prayer, peaceful vigils and fasting to get their message across.

One protestor says there's power in prayer.

"A number of the abortion clinics have closed and I think that's because of prayer throughout the whole state of Pennsylvania," said John Karc.

The executive director of the Allentown's Women Center told us the protestors have been "thoughtful" and "caring."

She said she supports the protestors' right to voice their opinions.
