Lung transplant recipient Sarah Murnaghan on the mend

Transplant patient improving

PHILADELPHIA - A 10-year-old girl from Delaware County who received a double lung transplant in Philadelphia is improving.

In a Facebook post, Sarah Murnaghan's mother, Janet,  wrote that Sarah will be moved out of the intensive care unit and into progressive care at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Sarah, of Newtown Square, received her first lung transplant on June 12, but that pair failed.

She received another set three days later.

Sarah's story started a national debate over whether children should receive adult organ transplants.
