Pa. health rankings: How does your county compare?

The health rankings are in, and there's some good news and bad news for our area.

Lehigh County has fallen in both overall health outcomes and health factors, according to the eighth annual County Health Rankings, released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.

Lehigh County ranks 40th out of Pennsylvania's 67 counties in overall health outcomes, down from 28th last year.

Chester, Montgomery and Bucks counties rank among the healthiest counties in the state, while Schuylkill, Monroe and Carbon counties are among the least healthy.

The rankings were based on a variety of factors, including housing, education and access to healthy foods.
