69-WFMZ welcomes
applications for its internship program throughout the year.
Each semester, several college juniors and seniors are selected
to work, side-by-side, with the staff as contributing members of
the 69 News team in WFMZ’s Allentown and Reading newsrooms.
Interns are unpaid and must be enrolled in a college or
university program that sponsors internships for academic
credit. WFMZ requires at least 15 hours each week, for a
minimum of 12 weeks.
FOUR CATEGORIES
NEWS: (Editorial emphasis)
News writing, producing, and assignment desk responsibilities in
the newsroom, as well as news-gathering responsibilities in the
field.
SPORTS:
As required by Sports Department.
PHOTOGRAPHERS’ ASSISTANT: (Technical emphasis)
Field news-gathering and editing duties.
PRODUCTION: (Technical emphasis)
Assist directors with production and execution of daily
newscasts.
