Peace Candle Lit In Easton

EASTON, Pa. - It's time to trim the tree and flipping the switch to usher in Christmas.

For Easton, it's a tower of light, a Peace Candle, in the city's square.

It's a long-time annual tradition that marks the kickoff of the Christmas season in Easton.

The lighting celebration was accompanied by plenty of activities for people who visited Center Square.

Some told us the Peace Candle lighting gets better every year.

"The way they set it up, I mean there's so many vendors and there was so much entertainment. There's a lot more entertainment then there was years ago, and there's a lot of entertainment tonight," said Loretta Williams

Besides the entertainment, there was a holiday open house in the downtown area, and of course, a visit from Santa!
