Easton Main Street announces free summer concerts

Musical line-up slated for Riverside and Centre Square venues

EASTON, Pa. - Easton Main Street is announcing the 2015 line-up of  its free Summer Concert Series in the city.

Kicking off the series is the fifth installment of Live at Riverside, which began in 2011 with the completion of the renovated Riverside Park.

Throughout the evening concert goers can enjoy the Riverside Pub Tent featuring beer and wine provided by Porters' Pub and light dinner fare provided by Colonial Pizza.

Live at Riverside concerts are moving to the second Friday of the month, 7:30-9:30 p.m. May through September.

Riverside Amphitheatre is located in Riverside Park along Larry Holmes Drive. Free parking is available across the street in the Gov. Wolf lot.

Live in the Square concerts are held 7:30-9:30 p.m. the last Friday of the month, also from May through September.

Concerts are held in Centre Square located in the heart of downtown Easton.

 Easton Main Street will be hosting Tunes at Noon, a lunch-hour concert series featuring local performers in Centre Square. That series will be  noon to 1 p.m. Fridays in May and June.

All concerts are free and open to the public.

May 8: Tower Suite --"Sexy, Sultry and Oh-So-Easy-To-Listen-To!"
June 12: Uncle Rocco --"Classic rock & soul party band"
July 10: A Few Good Men-- "Funk infused blues."
Aug. 14: Jimmy Pritchard Band --"A blues singin' bass player, with red hot guitar, rock solid drumming, and a flash of brass."
Sept. 11: Sunshine Symphony -- "Aiming to get you on the dance floor, singing and dancing along"

Live in the Square
(Last Friday of month in Centre Square, 7:30-9:30 p.m.)
May 29: The Sal Ritz Band --"An acoustic favorite"
(Special opening act: Easton Area High School Jazz Ensemble  at  7 p.m. - "High school jazz at its finest")
June 26: Maria Woodford --"A mix of sultry vocals and disarmingly honest songwriting"
July 31: High Street House Band --"A group of friends and musicians who appreciate the  tradition of getting together and making lots of noise".
Aug. 28: Blue Hearts Revelry --"All original New/Bluegrass, Americana, folk, with some rock 'n roll roots!"
Sept. 25: Steve Brosky & Jimmy Meyer --"Your basic American roots music with an edge of entertainment"
