It's the flu season and the best way to protect yourself is with a flu shot. See if there's a flu shot clinic near you:

Watch for updates as information becomes available.

LEHIGH COUNTY

Lehigh Valley Health Network will hold its annual drive-through flu shot clinic during two sessions in November. Immunizations will be available for adults and children six months and older.

Shots will be administered at Dorney Park on Saturday, Nov. 3 and at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Once again, LVHN is partnering with area food banks and shelters, including the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank, Allentown Rescue Mission and the AIDS Activities Office food pantry.

The network is accepting non-perishable food items during each of the drive-through sessions. Food donations are optional and not required to receive a shot.

Those planning to receive a shot are urged to register in advance online. Hourly slots are available for both sessions. Reservation times are estimates and not guaranteed.

To register, go to lvhn.org and click on 'programs and events.' There's also a consent form and maps of both locations.

Those planning to receive a flu shot during LVHN’s November drive-thru vaccinations are asked to abide by the following requests:
• Access a vaccine information sheet and consent form for each person to be vaccinated at lvhn.org, or request forms by calling 610-402-CARE (2273).
• Complete the consent form and bring it with you when you get vaccinated.
• Dress appropriately—loose-fitting clothing for the shot to be administered in the arm of an adult and the leg of children less than two (2) years old.
• Please NO PETS in the vehicle.

Allentown's Health Bureau is offering free flu shots or nasal mist flu shots on the first three Fridays in November.

The shots will be available from 2-4 p.m. on Nov. 2, 9 and 16 from 2-4 p.m. at Alliance Hall at 245 N. Sixth Street.

No appointment is necessary. Members of the public are asked to bring insurance cards if they have them.

9 -11 a.m. East Side Youth Center at 1140 E. Clair Street

2-4 p.m. Mountainville Memorial at 1812 S. Fifth St
