Sanofi Pasteaur starts shipping first flu shots for 2013-2014 season
It's nearly time to roll up your sleeves again!
Sanofi Pasteur has started shipping its first lots of flu vaccine designed to combat the 2013-2014 flu season.
Last month, the Food and Drug Administration approved Sanofi Pasteur's four-strain flu vaccine for the upcoming flu season.
It's the only four-strain vaccine available for children as young as six months old.
The Monroe County vaccine maker's new vaccine protects against both A and B flu strains.
Sanofi Pasteur's world headquarters is based in Pocono Twp., as well as the largest flu vaccine plant in the U.S.
