Free Thanksgiving Meal Served

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Folks at St. James A M E Zion church in Allentown were offering up an early Thanksgiving Dinner this weekend.

The missionary group at the church was serving up a hot Thanksgiving meal for the less fortunate, senior citizens, and anyone else in need.

Organizers of the event said it's always important to help others, especially at this time of the year.

"This is what missionaries are all about. Missionaries are about serving other people. Each one reach one, doing what Jesus did. We're about serving others, not ourselves," said Missionary President Pam Riddick.

Although the meal is completed at the church, it also hosts a food bank.

Members say donations of food or money are always accepted and can be dropped off at the church.
