$2,000 check may soon be in pockets of some nurses
A settlement could be in the works between Lehigh Valley Health Network and some of its registered nurses.
A lawsuit was filed by Joni Wright in 2010 and it gained class action status in 2011.
She claimed while working as a registered nurse, she was required to work past her shift without receiving overtime.
Court documents filed on May 18th show the Network is offering a $4.5 million settlement.
It would be offered to non-exempt nurses in the Patient Care Services Division who worked there between January 20th, 2008 and May 18th, 2012.
Those who qualify could get close to $2,000 each. A hearing is scheduled on July 19th, where the settlement could be approved.
