"Most Valuable Players" to be released on DVD

For the past decade WFMZ-TV/Channel 69 has been proud to air the "Freddy Awards."

And now a film that chronicles local theatre students' journey to the "Super Bowl" of high school musicals is being released on DVD.

"Most Valuable Players" will be released Tuesday.

The film features students and teachers from Parkland, Emmaus, and Freedom High Schools as they compete for top honors at the Freddys.

The film has received numerous film festival selections as well as a nod from Oprah on her OWN network.
