2 Felons Charged In Brazen Bank Heist Heading To Trial

Preliminary Court Hearing For 3rd Suspect Postponed

Two men accused of committing a brazen bank robbery are headed to trial.

Edward Anthony Maye and Hishamu Curry waived their preliminary hearings on robbery, aggravated assault, and attempted homicide charges Thursday morning.

The hearing for the third suspect, Isaah Sampson, was postponed to another day.

Police said Maye, Curry, and Sampson robbed the KNBT Bank on Main Street in Emmaus, Lehigh County on December 30.

The former felons are also accused of pistol-whipping a bank employee and opening fire on police as they tried to get away.

Police closed nearby streets and put some businesses on lockdown during the ordeal.

May and Sampson, both of Allentown, were apprehended near the scene shortly after the robbery. Curry, of Philadelphia, was captured in Allentown several hours later.
