2 Montgomery County Commissioners Under Investigation

Two Montgomery County commissioners have caught the attention of the county's top cop.

District Attorney Risa Vetri-Ferman is investigating whether Commissioners Joe Hoeffel and James Matthews violated the state's sunshine act.

The two allegedly held secret meetings in which they discussed county business in advance of public meetings.

Matthews did not return our calls for comment.

But Hoeffel released a statement saying he is quote ''confident the breakfast meetings do not violate the sunshine law since we do not deliberate on or decide county business.''
