2 women arrested in separate stabbing incidents in Walnutport

WALNUTPORT, Pa. - Police are investigating two separate domestic disturbances which resulted in stabbings in Northampton County.

The first incident happened around 2 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 600 block of Washington Street in Walnutport.

A man was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh County for treatment of a stabbing wound.

Police arrested 51-year-old Jane Kiefer, who lives at the address where the stabbing took place.. She's charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

She was taken to the Northampton County Prison after being unable to post bail.

The second incident took place around 5:20 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Kiddie Lane, also in Walnutport.

A male victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Twp. for treatment of a stabbing wound.

Police arrested 32-year-old Jennifer Marie Jaegel, who lives at the Kiddie Lane address. She faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

She was also taken to the Northampton County Prison after being unable to post bail.
