BOYERTOWN, Pa. -- Thursday night, many Christians attended church services or activities in honor of Holy Thursday.
And while Thursdays may not be the usual church-going day for most, for some people in Berks County, every Thursday night is the perfect time to worship.
Motorcycle riders come out in warm weather, and Thursday afternoon was no exception.
"Ninety eight cubic inch motor, six-speed fuel injection it's the ride man, it really is," said Charlie Bergeman, while talking about his bike. "Actually it was a good day, it's beautiful, I was out all day."
If you believe in God, you might say he's responsible for days like this.
These bikers do, and they consider them His gift.
"I was one of little faith before I started coming here," said Bergeman.
Here - is the Biker Church in Boyertown, Berks County.
It was started by the Grills, Linda and Rich.
"We believe God has a purpose he has a plan for everybody's life," explained Linda, a Biker Church associate pastor. "And this is the one for us."
"I never fit in the established church because this is me," said Rich, the church's Head Pastor. "I'm a t-shirt, and jeans--I'm not a suit person and I never will be."
Leather, jeans, earrings - all are welcome inside.
And while it was Holy Thursday, that wasn't the reason why the Biker Church was worshiping.
"Because Sundays we're out riding, so why beat a dead horse," said Linda. "I think the Lord's more interested in meet(ing) with me, instead (of), 'It has to be on a Sunday.'"
"People that come to my church are hungry for love," said Rich. "They haven't experienced love the way God loves them."
And says he knows Jesus would ride a motorcycle.
"I don't care what anybody tells me, Jesus was a rebel," he said. "The people he picked for disciples were crude they were fishermen."
Grill said now - they are bikers.
