3 arrested for 66 car burglaries in western New Jersey

Hunterdon car burglaries

Police in New Jersey say they have arrested three people responsible for 66 car burglaries in western Hunterdon County this summer.

Officials say the suspects were nabbed following a search of a Warren County residence where the items from the Hunterdon burglaries were found.

Prosecutors say a camera placed in a tree by one of the victims played a key role in  the identifying the suspects.

Officials say 30-year-old Shanique Monteagudo of Bound Brook, 28-year-old Anthony Iafelice of Hillsborough and 20-year-old Keiaundra Drury of Millstone are facing a litany of charges.

According to the Hunterdon County prosecutor, there are multiple items of evidence that the victims have not identified.

Residents can contact the New Jersey state police at 908-996-2864 to make an appointment to view the unclaimed items.

Anyone with information about the break-ins can submit anonymous tips by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-321-0010 or by going to www.crimestoppershunterdon.com or text HCTIPS plus a tip message to 274637 (CRIMES).
