3rd suspect returned to Pa. to face homicide charges in armed home invasion

Rogel Suero one of 3 involved in robbery of Carrie Smith in Wilson home, police say

EASTON, Pa. - A third suspect wanted in connection with an armed home invasion has been returned to Pennsylvania.

Rogel Suero was arrested in Houston, Texas, and extradited to Pennsylvania Tuesday.

Suero was wanted in connection with an armed home invasion at 2466 Hillside Ave. in Wilson, Northampton Co., on Jan. 15, 2012.

Suero, police said, conspired with Rebecca Johnson and David Bechtold to rob Johnson's grandmother, Carrie Smith, of cash and jewelry.

During the robbery, Smith, 76, suffered a heart attack and died March 16, 2012. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Suero is facing the following charges: criminal homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary, theft by unlawful taking, terroristic threats, conspiracy to commit burglary, recklessly endangering another person and possessing instruments of crime. He is being held without bail in the Northampton County Prison.
