69 News Week In Review

It's time now to take a look back at the stories making headlines this week in the 69 News Week In Review.

On Monday, new details emerged in the case of a Lehigh County teen who went missing 35 years ago.

Investigators said they now believe Robert Keck of Coopersburg was the victim of a crime when he disappeared as a 16-year-old in 1979.

A recent lead brought investigators to a remote area of Berks County, but a search there uncovered nothing.

Officials said they are continuing to search for the elusive clue that could finally crack open this cold case.

Tuesday, a possible plea deal was set in motion for a Northampton County woman charged with setting a fire that led to a man's death.

Officials said Fallonn Craig admitted to starting the deadly fire at the Mineral Springs Bar and Restaurant in Forks Township last October.

Under a proposed plea deal, Craig would plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

On Wednesday, severe storms swept through the area, hitting the City of Reading especially hard.

Water covered streets and vehicles all across Reading, and left a big mess to clean up.

Thursday, police in the Poconos investigated a rash of copper wire thefts at a ski resort.

The Alpine Mountain Resort in Monroe County was hit five times over two weeks, causing $35,000 in damage.

The crooks ripped out wire used for ski lifts and snow-making machines.

On Friday, a man was taken into custody following a tense police standoff in Palmer Township, Northampton County.

A neighborhood was placed on lock down as police while negotiated with an armed man.

He eventually surrendered. No one was injured.

The man was taken to a psychatric facility for a mental evaluation to help police determine if charges should be filed.
