Easton Police say they have recovered a body in the Delaware Canal.

The body was found by a group of hikers off of Route 611 South and Nesquehoning Street near the canal, official said.

At this point the body is only being described as that of a white male.

The Easton Police Department and the Northampton County Coroner's office are working together on the matter.
