Bucks Playhouse unveils renovation plans

NEW HOPE, Pa. -

The curtain is up at a historic theater in Bucks County and it's unveiling new plans for renovating the historic show-place.

The Bucks County Playhouse, in New Hope, will get some significant re-working.

Officials revealed plans Thursday night to a number of donors.

They say the waterfront area of the theater will be enhanced with a deck overlooking the Delaware River.

They will also update dressing rooms for actors.

The renovations will be funded with the help of the playhouse's "Founders Club" program.

The outreach group hopes to raise $1 million to help restore the theater.
