PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -

A Philadelphia Catholic church official convicted of child-endangerment could be in the clear.

A Pennsylvania appeals court is unanimously overturning Monsignor William Lynn's conviction.

Lynn has been serving a three-to-six year prison sentence since being convicted last year.

He was found guilty of reassigning predator priests to new parishes in Philadelphia from 1992 to 2004.

But now the court says Lynn was wrongly convicted and is throwing the criminal case out.

Prosecutors say they'll fight to prevent Lynn from being released.
