Charter school for high school drop outs graduates 21
A group of graduates made history Tuesday.
The I-Lead Charter School held its first graduation ceremony at Berks Catholic High School in Reading.
The charter school is designed to offer second chances to kids who have dropped out of the Reading school district.
Twenty-one students received their diplomas Tuesday night.
"It means everything to me," said graduate Katherine Lara. "It's really exciting. It's almost unbelievable. I'm happy to say I'm graduating."
All of the graduates will be working to further their education.
Eighteen of them will be attending Harcum College. Two others will be going to Berks Technical Institute and one will be headed to Empire Beauty School.
