Coroner ID's Man Shot, Killed At Gun Club

NORTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. -

The coroner and state police are investigating the apparent shooting death of a person at a gun range.

The Lehigh County Coroner says Arthur Lichenwalner, 61, of Lehigh Township died at 11:40 Friday morning at Ranger Lake Rod and Gun Club in North Whitehall Township.

That's in the in the 2400 block of Quarry Street.

He died from a gunshot wound to the body.

The incident happened at 10:39am.

State police at Bethlehem, who are handling the investigation, said they got the call around 10:30 Friday morning.

We're told multiple troopers and a forensic van were on the scene, but officials at the barracks told 69 News they could provide no information about the incident.

The coroner will rule on the manor of death after completion of the investigation which is being done by his office and State Police.
