SPRING TWP., Pa. -

Before 6:00 p.m., Thursday evening, management at the Texas Roadhouse in Spring Township said they had served more than 1,000 customers.

A large majority of the customers were there supporting the fundraiser for fallen Berks County Sheriff's Deputy Kyle Pagerly.

Texas Roadhouse management confirmed that 10% of all total sales on Thursday would be donated to Deputy Pagerly's widow, Alecia.

Many said they didn't mind waiting almost an hour to be seated.

"Alecia needs our support and we're here to do anything we can for her because she's going through a tough time right now, and a lot of us understand what that's all about," said Renae Worcheck from Sinking Spring.

Restaurant managment said they planned to stay open as long as there were customers.

"Until the last guest leaves. We typically close at 10:00. I think tonight we'll close some time between 11:00 and 11:30," said Laura Baker, Managing Partner of Texas Roadhouse. Before Pagerly was killed in the line of duty, he and his wife Alecia were expecting their first child.

So the Texas Roadhouse offered free appetizers to anyone who arrived with a new package of diapers.

"How do you not give back to people who gave so much for us," said Baker.

"I hope Kyle is able to see this from wherever he is," said Alecia Pagerly. "Because you don't always know how appreciated the police are and everything, and I just hope he can see how much people are honoring his name, and everything, and I know that he'd care that his baby is taken care of."

During the fundraiser, Berks County Sheriff Erick Weaknect also presented Alecia with a check for more than $900 from Club Wago.

Employees at UGI Energy Services also collected $1,500 for the Pagerly family.

The Northampton County Deputy Sheriff's Association also presented Alecia with a check for $2,000.

"When we hear of a fallen brother or sister, we respond, and try to be generous to the family," said Northampton County Sheriff's Deputy Darin Steward. "It's the right thing to do."
