The Federal Aviation Administration has released 155 acres of land near the Reading Regional Airport from aviation status.
That means it can now be developed.
The Berks County Industrial Authority wants to buy the land for $2.6 million and turn it into a research park.
Officials said they are hoping to get state grants for the project. They said the park would create 2,000 jobs.
