Feds reforming student visas following Boston attacks
That attack has Homeland Security changing the way the department handles student visas.
Officials say effective immediately border agents will have to verify that every international student who arrives in the US has a valid student visa.
The change comes one day after the White House acknowledged that a student from Kazakhstan accused of hiding evidence for one of the Boston bombing suspects was allowed to return to the U.S. in January without a valid visa.
Officials say more changes could also be on the way.
