Finding holiday shopping savings through smartphone apps
Stamina will help you get through Black Friday's shopping insanity but a little bit of savvy can't hurt, either.
There are lots of savings to be found if you know where to look and you can start with your smartphone.
Not only can you get deals, you can track down wish list items and keep track of your spending.
Tis the season to save money on your holiday shopping with the smartphone.
Apps like shopkick give you instant savings and rewards just for walking into the store.
"You can just come into the store with the application open and you collect points just for coming in and you can redeem those points for gift cards for facebooks credits or even accessories like a blue tooth device," said CJ Mellon, of Best Buy Mobile.
It's kind of like a shoppers card, without the card.
Savvy is another app that helps you cash in on price reductions after the sale.. and get the price you want on wishlist items.
"I can put in the price that I want if I want to pay $15 for it. I can wait for it to go on sale and then savvy will notify me when best buy has that item for $17 or $15.
So what do shoppers think of the new apps?
It could be the end of ad watching for some.
"I don't clip coupons or anything I just dont have time to do any of that stuff so it would be an easier way," said Lorissa Sandy.
"Now I will be able to go on my phone," said Lisa Culver.
One really cool app is Mint.com.
You can track your spending and make sure you don't go over budget.

· Goodzer helps shoppers locate exactly what they want to purchase – from a little black dress for tonight’s cocktail party to the nearly sold out must-have gadget – from all kinds of stores. Goodzer’s iPhone app is available for free in the AppStore.
· Savvy, a new app that helps consumers cash-in on price reductions, eliminates the #1 cause of buyer's remorse — buying something only to find it on sale the next day. By simply snapping a photo of your purchase using a smartphone, the Savvy app alerts you when there is a price reduction and applies the savings automatically. Mint’s Android, iPhone and iPad app helps shoppers manage their holiday budgets on the go, helping to curb impulse holiday purchases.
· Use Yipit's iPhone app to seamlessly find gifts for friends and family in any of Yipit’s 100 daily deal markets.
