Fitness and healthy diets are on the minds of many as we start a new year, so, this morning, we're talking about how to choose foods for a better body that lasts a lifetime!

Fitness and health expert Stacey Redfield stopped by 69 News at Sunrise to tell us more.


1 cup almond butter (or any nut butter)

1 cup honey

1 tsp salt

1 T vanilla

1 tsp cinnamon

1/3 cup brown sugar

2 cups rolled oats

1 cup Quinoa flakes

½ cup chopped almonds nuts

1 cup dried cherries

2 cups rice cereal

In a large pot over medium heat, stir together nut butter, honey, salt, vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar until combined and the consistency of syrup. Add the oats and quinoa flakes and stir for a few minutes until coated. Remove from heat and add nuts, dried fruit and rice cereal. Stir until combined.

Press into a 9x13 baking pan and refrigerate until cool.

Remove from pan, cut into portions and drizzle with bittersweet chocolate.
