A former public defender and solicitor for Northampton County who admitted to theft has learned his fate.

A judge sentenced Anthony Martino to 12-28 months in prison Wednesday.

He must also pay restitution.

Prosecutors say Martino stole money from clients after writing checks to himself from a man's estate.

He pleaded guilty to theft charges in April.
