Giants fans gather to watch the Super Bowl
Super Bowl fans watch game
There's a sea of blue and white at Joe's Tavern in Bethlehem. The place bills itself as the ultimate Giants hangout in the Valley.
Fans were pretty confident in the Giants chances in the Super Bowl.
"I know the Giants are going to win tonight," said Amber Del Priore.
"Never been more certain of anything in my life," Frankie Love added.
Not only is Frankie Love predicting a New York win. He sees a Giant victory.
"I say 34-17," Love said.
"I think a little more tighter than that. I foresee winning by a field goal again," Del Priore said.
"24-17 Giants. I think it's going to be close," said Barb Howser.
But Howser hasn't ALWAYS been a Big Blue believer.
"I've been a Giants fan about four years. I grew up an Eagles fan," she said
Folks here in Eagles country may consider Barb a traitor, but she has her reasons.
"I've just been tired of the Andy Reid era, let's just put it that way," she said.
Win or not Sunday, a Giants appearance alone mean huge business for Joe's Tavern.
"This is a really big deal," said bartender Vince Kline
And they're expected to go through a lot of beer.
"Probably three, four kegs. Probably 10,15, 20 cases of bottles.," he said.
At 24 bottles a case, that adds up to almost 500 bottles of beer for a pretty small bar.
Giants fans think their defense is gonna be the key Sunday, but remember, Tom Brady and his receivers have been on point all season.
