Gov. Corbett tours Ben Franklin Tech Ventures in Bethlehem

Gov. Tom Corbett got a first hand look at job creation in the Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

The governor joined several local officials for a tour of Ben Franklin Tech Ventures at Lehigh University.

Tech Ventures is a business incubator that helps launch and support tech companies.

Corbett said his administration is happy to invest in the facility, which churns out thousands of high-paying jobs.

"Companies that grow from Ben Franklin, the employees there, average 33% higher than the state average, state job. Every dollar that Pennsylvania has invested has returned $3.50 to the state treasury. That's a great return on investment."

In 2011 alone, Corbett said the businesses supported by Tech Ventures grossed more than $600 million in revenue.
